Our framework

These are the five big areas that we, as individuals can influence, which are key to repairing and regenerating our world - food, energy, travel, stuff and nature.

An underlying principle of zero waste runs through them all and for each we can make a difference through our choice, voice and wallet.

THE EXPERTS

Our framework is informed by the latest thinking from climate leaders and organisations including:

PROJECT DRAWDOWN

The most comprehensive plan ever proposed to reverse global warming. Drawdown is the future point in time when levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere stop climbing and start to steadily decline. Project Drawdown, developed by a global team of experts, analyses and presents the solutions (in order of impact) that can be taken today to reach this critical turning point.

The Uk climate change committee

The CCC is an independent, statutory body established under the Climate Change Act 2008. Its purpose is to advise the UK and devolved governments on emissions targets and to report to Parliament on the progress made in reducing greenhouse gas emissions as well as preparing for and adapting to the impacts of climate change. Their latest report (The Sixth Carbon Budget) provides the blueprint for a fully decarbonised UK, reaching net zero by 2050.

the INTERGOVERNMENTAL PANEL ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Created in 1988 by the World Meteorological Organization and the United Nations Environment Programme, the IPCC provides governments with scientific information that they can use to develop climate policies (e.g. 1.5℃ report). They provide regular assessments of the scientific basis of climate change, its impacts and future risks, and options for adaptation and mitigation.
